Connie Ferguson could be returning to the silver screen sooner than expected, as she teased a possible wedding between The Queen’s Harriet Khoza and Hector Sebata.
Ferguson Films took to Twitter on Wednesday, 22 September 2021, to tease the imminent return of Connie Ferguson as Harriet Khoza on Mzansi Magic’s The Queen. Ferguson stepped away from her leading role after the passing of her husband and co-executive producer of the show, Shona Ferguson. Ferguson confirmed her return to the set of the production last week. While it was believed that it would be at least a month before her return to television, the post suggested otherwise.
Ferguson also took to her Instagram Stories on the same day to confirm that her return would mark the world of the story realising the romance between Harriet Khoza and Hector Sebata, who is played by Rapulana Seiphemo. An on-screen romance between the two actors is not new, as they are most fondly known for their iconic Generations romance as Karabo and Tau, which has been transposed onto The Queen. Ferguson teased that the illicit affair between Khoza and Sebata will most likely see them getting married.
No dates have been confirmed on when Ferguson is set to make her return to television. However, fans of the show are predicting that it will be during the last episode of the week, which will be on Friday, 24 September 2021.
