Prince Kaybee addresses social ills in Hosh music video, featuring Sir Trill

Prince Kaybee has released the much-anticipated music video for his single, Hosh, featuring Sir Trill, which touches on various social ills and topical issues.

Prince Kaybee premiered the Hosh music video, featuring Sir Trill, on Friday, 17 July 2020. The music video comes nearly a month after the single was released on Monday, 22 June 2020. As indicated in the numerous teasers Prince Kaybee shared ahead of the release, the music video references his public spat with Cassper Nyovest, whom he dubbed “Shotpan,” and makes commentary on the current socio-political climate of South Africa.

The music video was directed and shot by OM Films’ Uncle Scrooch, and the concept was by Prince Kaybee. The music video provides suspense and a clever plot twist at the end. Although the narrative seems to be of a prison break story, that is not the case. Towards the end of the music video, the male prisoners reflect on their wrongdoings and unite fora touching tribute in honour of women. The music video also features a cameo appearance by R&B crooner, Donald.
