Prince Kaybee announces album release date

Published on

Prince Kaybee’s third studio album is expected to release in February 2019.

DJ Prince Kaybee last released a full-length studio album in September 2017. However, over the course of the year he has dominated local charts with his smash-hit singles ‘Club Controller’, and ‘Banomoya’ featuring Busiswa and TNS.

On Wednesday, 10 October, Prince Kaybee took to social media to announce the expected release date for his upcoming album. “Ok just confirmed, my [third] studio album is dropping February 2019,” he wrote.

The DJ then shared a snippet of what to expect from the album, posting an audio clip of a single titled ‘Fetch Your Life’ featuring Msaki. “I will be sharing snippets like this of each and every song on the album until the release date, it’s like a mini listening session for you guys. Enjoy,” he tweeted.

Prince Kaybee is known for interacting with his fans in unique ways. Just last month, he invited his fans from in and around Bloemfontein to join him on set for the shoot of the ‘Banomoya’ official music video. Since its release on Thursday, 4 October, the music video has racked up over 500,000 views on YouTube.

Prince Kaybee is also currently a judge and mentor on the fifth season of SABC 1’s DJ talent search show, 1’s and 2’s. He is joined on the judging panel by fellow industry veteran DJ Zinhle Jiyane. 1’s and 2’s airs on Sundays at 18:00.
