Published on

Prince Kaybee is not resting on his laurels following the release of his latest hit album, Re Mmino, revealing that he is working on a new EP, Crossover Music.

Celebrated music producer and DJ, Prince Kaybee, has shared that he is currently working on his new EP, which will be titled Crossover Music. The first mention that the DJ made about the upcoming EP was on Wednesday, 5 June 2019, when shared the title of the EP on his social media pages. In a caption to his post, Prince Kaybee had stated, “Next… Stay tuned. New music coming in October. #CrossOverMusic”.

After sharing the news, the DJ managed to get to one half of Mafikizolo, Nhlanhla Nciza, in studio while they were both in Manchester for a recording session. Prince Kaybee had cleverly hinted at the collaboration by posting an appreciation post about the artist, saying he had always wanted to work with her and had never gotten the opportunity before.  On Friday, 14 June 2019, Prince Kaybee then shared a video revealing that his dream had come true, when he invited Nhlanhla Nciza to listen to the song on which he wanted her to feature. Following that reveal, Prince Kaybee provided fans with a video that saw the two working on their song and featuring it as the video’s soundtrack.

After coming back to South Africa from his European tour, Prince Kaybee revealed the second artist set to appear on the EP. The artist already has an established relationship with the DJ, and is the vocalist behind his current hit single, Fetch Your Life, Msaki. Prince Kaybee revealed the reunion through posting images of the two of them together in studio on Friday, 28 June 2019.

In the latest video, shared on Tuesday, 9 July 2019, the DJ, along with Msaki and a sound engineer, can be seen listening to the duo’s song. This video also offered fans a second snippet of the song.
