Prince Kaybee was quick to defend fellow producer-DJ, Shimza against the claims being made by music insider, Nota, in light of the contentious tender he received from the Tourism Department.
Prince Kaybee took to Twitter on Monday, 17 May 2021, to contribute to the back-and-forth between Shimza and Nhlamulo “Nota” Baloyi. Nota alleged that Shimza has been unduly benefitting from allegedly dating Athi Gebela, who works in the presidency. This was after Shimza’s Tembisa-based restaurant, The Hang Awt, receiving a tender to host a Department of Tourism event.
Shimza has denied the allegations and requested that Nota fix his heart as he is supposedly a very toxic person. However, it seems that Nota was only encouraged to continue his lambaste. In one tweet, he wrote, “Fix your corruption, jou m**rskont. Tembisa is a sh*t hole and you can’t even call out the local government for the lack of service delivery because you benefit while our family members in Tembisa live in squalor. Shame on you. Your people are suffering and you celebrate that!”
Prince Kaybee then commented on a post where Nota suggested that Shimza does not even have a single hit song under his belt. In his comment, The 4th Republic creator highlighted that Shimza is featured on his hit single, Uwrongo, alongside Black Motion and Ami Faku. It is still unclear whether the post was meant in jest or if Prince Kaybee was being genuine in his rebuttal.
See the post below.
I featured him on “Uwrongo” does that count for anything? https://t.co/Wwb3y54a7r
