Prince Kaybee has rubbished the suggestion of him being jealous of Busta 929, after he lambasted the producer-DJ for his alleged affiliation with underaged girls.
Prince Kaybee took to Twitter on Wednesday, 23 June 2021, to continue lambasting amapiano producer-DJ, Busta 929. This was after the producer-DJ previewed the single he was supposedly working on when he housed a group of teenage girls without their parents’ consent. Moreover, Busta 929 denied any suggestions of wrongdoing, in light of the girls allegedly being under the influence and one being dressed in nothing but a towel.
At the time, Prince Kaybee was one of only a few male DJs that publicly lambasted Busta 929, and admitted to the prevalence of grooming within the deejaying fraternity. Therefore, in light of Busta 929 sharing the alleged track he was working on with the girls, Prince Kaybee initially responded, “From the biggest song in the country (with) Umsebenzi Wethu to this…? For what.” Adding, “What’s gonna happen next, (is) the girl is gonna realize she got no talent so out of frustration she’s gonna speak her truth about what really happened that night. Goodluck.” [sic]
The post prompted a lot of interaction, with one user suggesting that Prince Kaybee is jealous of Busta 929’s success, and that he is using the current matter to discredit him. In response, Prince Kaybee affirmed his advocacy against gender-based violence and femicide, and highlighted his Project Hope as an example.
