Prince Kaybee took to social media on Saturday, 31 August 2019, to announce that he has pushed the release of his much-anticipated EP to September.
Celebrated South African producer-DJ, Prince Kaybee, has been working on his upcoming EP, CrossOver Music, since the successful release of his sophomore album, Re Mmino, in March 2019. Since announcing his upcoming EP, Prince Kaybee has been promoting its upcoming release with an October 2019 date. However, on Saturday, 31 August 2019, he took to social media to share that the release of the EP has been pushed forward.
The DJ posted the announcement through the reveal of all seven of the artists that will be featured on the EP. Prince Kaybee worked with an array of popular artists, including AKA, Nhlanhla Nciza, Thulz, Indlovukazi and Brenden Praise, and upcoming artists, Zhao and Ngasii.
In his caption, he then announced the news that his EP will have an earlier release date, saying, “Breaking news! We [are] no longer dropping in October, it’s just too far. So 27 September is the drop [date] and I’ve got these talented individuals on the EP. #CrossOverMusic”
The DJ’s fans took to the comments section to celebrate the news. One fan tweeted, “That’s good Prince, keep up the good work.”
However, many commented on the artist or single they were excited to hear from the EP. One fan stated they wanted to hear what Prince Kaybee called his favourite track on the EP, saying, “We are waiting for Monasi [featuring Indlovukazi]” Another follower commented, “Gugulethu Remix featuring AKA [is] way dope …”
