Prince Kaybee reveals his favourite song from upcoming EP, Crossover Music

Ahead of the release of his EP, Crossover Music, acclaimed producer and DJ, Prince Kaybee, has revealed that his favourite song from the EP is Monasi, featuring Indlovukazi.

Since releasing his highly acclaimed sophomore studio album, Re Mmino, on Friday, 8 March 2019, Prince Kaybee has not stopped working. In the months following the release of the album, the DJ has released two more singles from the album, Gugulethu and Take It All. He has recently made the announcement that he is scheduled to release an experimental house music EP called Crossover Music in October.

He first shared his plans of releasing the EP on Wednesday, 5 June 2019, by sharing the EP’s cover art across his social media pages. In the weeks following the reveal of the cover art, he let fans into his progress on working on the EP. This included showing fans a behind-the-scenes making of one his upcoming tracks with one half of Mafikizolo, Nhlanhla Nciza, and the song he worked on with continued collaborator and vocalist, Indlovukazi.

Recently, Prince Kaybee took to his social media pages in the late evening of Monday, 22 July 2019, to share what his favourite song from the upcoming EP is. In the video, the Fetch Your Life hitmaker reflects on how stressful but gratifying it has been making the experimental house music EP. He shares that his favourite song from the EP is one he worked on with Indlovukazi called Monasi.

On Wednesday, 10 July 2019, Prince Kaybee posted a video of the two of them in the studio, working on the song, as a preview to the song. The video does not feature the beat of the song, but does have Indlovukazi repeatedly singing “you’re mine,” in isiZulu.
