Prince Kaybee has teamed up with Mthokozisi Ndaba of Idols SA fame to release the acoustic version of his 2018 hit single, ‘Banomoya.’
Following the success of his hit single, ‘Banomoya,’ which features Busiswa and TNS, Prince Kaybee, is looking to release an acoustic version of the song. The Masters of Spin Season 1 winner is teaming up with Mthokozisi Ndaba, the Idols SA Season 13 runner-up. This comes after Mthokozisi shared a snippet of himself playing the keyboard while performing his rendition of the song, and that evidently caught Prince Kaybee’s attention.
Prince Kaybee, who is preparing to release his third studio album, ‘Re Mmino,’ took to social media on Sunday, 6 January 2019, to reach out to Mthokozisi. Initially scheduled for release in February 2019, Prince Kaybee has threatened to postpone the album’s release unless the acoustic version of ‘Banomoya’ was successfully recorded and finalised before the album’s scheduled release date.
The chart-topping single was named the Song Of The Year by Ukhozi FM, and ushered listeners into 2019. The station boasts a listenership of over seven million, and is one of the leading radio stations in Africa and the world.
The KwaZulu-Natal-based Mthokozisi has already made the trip to Johannesburg, as the two musicians are currently working on the single’s acoustic version. They are already sharing footage on social media, much to their fans’ delight.
Prince Kaybee plans to release the acoustic version as the intro to his third album.
