Prince Kaybee teases unreleased music while working on new album

Prince Kaybee has shared some of the music he is working on as he readies his fifth, and what was set to be his last album.

Prince Kaybee took to Instagram on Wednesday, 22 September 2021, to share some of the new music he is working on, despite having released his fourth studio album, The 4th Republic, earlier this year on Friday, 5 March 2021. The musician has now set his focus on working on the next album. The 4th Republic consisted of 24 songs, which was the most songs Prince Kaybee has ever produced on an album.

Despite this, the entire album still only has a couple of hits and radio-charting singles, including Uwrongo with Black Motion, Shimza and Ami Faku, and Umenitosha, featuring Polaris. He also released other singles from the album like Hosh, featuring Sir Trill, and Ayabulela, which was allegedly dedicated to his partner at the time, Zola Mhlongo.

Prince Kaybee is used to creating at least one summer hit, which predominantly carries him through the festive season, and with the latest album, he did not have that. Therefore, it is understandable why he is not sharing the music he is working on, as an attempt to drive anticipation for what was set to be his last album. However, considering that The 4th Republic did not produce the desired result, Prince Kaybee might change his mind.
