Prince Kaybee responded nonchalantly to claims that he bought his SAMA nominations, as the producer took to Twitter to gloat about his nine nominations.
Prince Kaybee was gleeful on Wednesday, 15 July 2020, when he found out that he was the leading artist, with 9 nominations, for the twenty-sixth edition of The South African Music Awards (SAMAs). The Gugulethu musician took to Twitter to boast, writing “Nine nominations at The SAMAs. Who’s your daddy?” His tweet seemed to have an adverse reaction, as many responded to it with unfounded claims.
Numerous Twitter users accused him of buying the nominations. Prince Kaybee took the time to respond to a few of the accusations by merely acknowledging the claims, simply stating, “Okay.” When asked why he was interacting with the accusatory tweets, Prince Kaybee responded, “I’m helping them get over their pain.’
