Prince Kaybee’s Fetch Your Life is number 1 on SA radio charts

South African house music DJ Prince Kaybee took to Twitter to announce that his new single Fetch Your Life is number one on local radio charts.

The award-winning producer shared the news, according to the Radio Audience Measurement Survey (RAMS), via twitter on Sunday, 10 February 2019, a mere three days since the song’s release. Fetch Your Life features East London-born singer and songwriter Asanda Msaki, who is better known by her last name Msaki. She has a powerful voice and usually combines indie and afro-soul music with Xhosa lyrics.

Prince Kaybee previously released a minute-long snippet of Fetch Your Life on Wednesday, 10 October 2018. The Wajelwa hit-maker officially released the song on all digital platforms on Friday, 8 February 2019.

The Free State-born musician is expected to debut his highly anticipated third studio album Re Mmino in February 2019.

His hit single Banomoya is also featured on the album. He collaborated with kwaito and gqom singer Busiswa Gqulu and TNS. The music video was uploaded to YouTube on Thursday, 4 October 2018 and reached over 7 million views three months later in mid-January 2019.

Banomoya was also the number 1 summer single in 2018 playing across local radio stations and was selected as Metro FM’s 2018 Song of the Year, ushering listeners into the New Year.
