Prince Kaybee’s Project Hope collaborative album seeks to unearth new talent

Published on

Prince Kaybee recently discussed his upcoming collaborative album, Project Hope, which he clarified seeks to provide a platform for new talent that is often overlooked.

Prince Kaybee discussed his upcoming collaborative album, Project Hope, in detail on Wednesday, 2 September 2020. The initiative was launched on social media in August, and seeks to give 10 aspiring female musicians the opportunity to record an album with the acclaimed producer.

JustNje attended the exclusive event hosted at the Universal Music Group Studios in Rosebank, Johannesburg. Speaking about the inspiration behind the collaborative album, Prince Kaybee stated, “Project Hope is an initiative that tries to elevate talent that is not recognised.” The initiative is a continually growing project from a man who does not believe in “opening up the industry,” but rather, seeks to provide opportunities for talent to find their own way in the industry.

Throughout the event and interview, it became clear that the selected vocalists will contribute to more than just the album. The recording sessions of the album have been documented, with the possibility of them being developed into a reality show, as well as a concert. According to Prince Kaybee, “These songs need to be performed and people must tell us what they think.”
