Qiniso Van Damme announced as South Africa’s first Bachelorette

Qiniso Van Damme has been chosen to take on the lead role on M-Net’s first season of The Bachelorette SA, scheduled to premiere in early 2021.

Qiniso Van Damme will be taking on the role of The Bachelorette, as she begins her journey towards finding love on the highly popular dating show. The Capetonian model made an impression on the second season of M-Net’s The Bachelor SA, after being the first woman to step out of the limo and meet Marc Buckner. Although her time on the show was short-lived, Qiniso’s bold personality captivated the audience and quickly made her a favourite amongst viewers.

In a statement from M-Net on Wednesday, 15 July 2020, Qiniso stated, “I’m really open to meeting all kinds of handsome hunks with beautiful personalities who think I might be their [girl]. I want someone who isn’t afraid to be themselves, is a citizen of the world, proud to be South African, and willing to grow with me.”

M-Net’s Head of Publicity, Lani Lombard, added that Qiniso’s personality made her the perfect choice to lead the spin-off series of The Bachelor franchise. She stated, “Our Queen Qiniso is quirky, sassy, sexy, smart, bold, bubbly, kind, confident, dynamic, in touch with her emotions, and true to herself – the type of woman that a diverse range of successful men would find irresistible.”
