Rae Sremmurd hints at release of SremmLife 4 album

Hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd continues to drop hints regarding their upcoming album, SremmLife 4, in numerous interviews.

The duo has been teasing a follow-up to their massively successful SR3MM, which was released on Friday, 4 May 2018. SR3MM is a triple album that included solo work from members Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi. The album features hits like Close, featuring Travis Scott, Bedtime Stories, featuring The Weeknd, Perplexing Pegasus and Powerglide, featuring Juicy J.

The duo commented on the release as early as Wednesday, 24 October 2018, in an article published by Hypebeast where Swae Lee states: “[For] SremmLife 4, we’re sticking to the script of what we do on the SremmLife; making club bangers, making timeless classics and just bringing the vibe. Me and Slim Jxmmi are coming together for another classic album, our fourth album. StremmLife 4 will come early next year.”

Following rumors that the pair had split due to cryptic, deleted tweets from Slim Jxmmi, Rae Sremmurd commented on SremmLife 4 again in their Essence cover story, which was published on Monday, 1 April 2019. In the article, Swae Lee comments on the album and upcoming solo work stating: “As for Rae Sremmurd, we dropped three classic albums already; it’s time for the fourth, the fans have been patient. It’s time to give them what they’ve been waiting for. And I’m about to drop a solo album, composed of all original music.”

Despite the consistent dropping of breadcrumbs, Rae Sremmurd has remained mum on the album’s official track list, release date and cover art.
