Mduduzi Mabaso will be joining the cast of Imbewu: The Seed to play the role of Majozi for a few weeks but will not be leaving Rhythm City.
Popular Rhythm City actor Mduduzi Mabaso, who plays the role of Suffocate, has landed a role on eTV’s Imbewu: The Seed. The official statement released by the channel went on to say that Mabaso will be taking on the role of a self-made millionaire by the name of Majozi.
The character will reportedly bring uncertainty to the character of Zimele, who is a former schoolmate of Majozi.
The character of Zimele is currently played by Mpumelelo Bhulose, who has since been fired as a result of blatantly refusing to take orders from the show’s co-executive producer and his on-screen wife, Leleti Khumalo. It is rumoured that veteran actor Tony Kgoroge will be cast as Zimele to replace Bhulose.
Mabaso, who has been playing the role of Suffocate for nearly a decade, will not be leaving the cast of Rhythm City as he is only set to appear on Imbewu for a few weeks.
