The rapper will also be giving away free tickets and merchandise at the party that celebrates the upcoming inaugural Cotton Festival.
Rap superstar, Riky Rick, has announced on social media on Monday, 28 January 2019, that he will be hosting the official Cotton Fest pre-party at Onyx nightclub in Sandton.
The star said that tickets and merchandise would also be given away during the festivities. The event is in celebration of the upcoming inaugural Cotton Fest and will take place on Thursday, 31 January 2019. Riky Rick will perform in show that features Double D, Vato Kayde, Dr Peppa, Sandiso, Magnum, Sebastian and Kaymo.
Cotton Fest will take place on Saturday, 2 February 2019, at The Station in Newton, Johannesburg. The event is the first of its kind, celebrating the best of South African hip-hop music, culture and fashion. Over 80 acts, including rappers and DJs, have been confirmed as part of the line-up for the event.
Kwesta, AKA, Nasty C, Okmalumkoolkat, Moozlie and Priddy Ugly are just some of the big names mentioned on the line-up. The rapper, whose real name is Rikhado Makhado, said there would be a surprise performance at the show. The event is expected to be massive with artists performing on two stages.
Many fans seem to be excited about the event. Last week, on Wednesday, 23 January 2019, Makhado announced that 53 percent of the tickets had already been sold. Tickets are available for purchase from Webtickets, retailing at R150. No one under the age of 18 will be allowed at the venue. The show falls under the banner of the Raw Thursdays event.
