Riky Rick believes to have found the solution to the staggered vaccination rollout, by suggesting that the government should equip concerts and events with vaccination stations.
Riky Rick took to Twitter on Monday, 28 June 2021, to suggest how to mitigate the continued delays in the Sisonke Vaccination Programme, which is the vaccination campaign and strategy spearheaded by the government. Rick’s suggestion comes on the back of the return to stricter lockdown restrictions, which saw the closure of most clubs and eateries which serve alcohol for the next two weeks.
Similar to previous returns to Alert Level 4, artists, promoters and associated disciplines and industries have spoken out against the effects thereof on their potential to earn an income. Most of the reactions are in disagreement with the government’s decision, as it hinders breadwinners and employers from earning a living. Moreover, with the sporadic implementation of the vaccination rollout, some believe that the third wave in the country might not be the last.
However, Rick has suggested that instead of closing events during the third wave, the government should make vaccinations mandatory to attend. Furthermore, he suggested that the government could create vaccination posts at the events, which would turn so-called super spreader events into super vaccination sites.
See the post below.
Restaurants, Event Promoters, Sports Leagues ie “Mass Gatherers” … have HUGE databases of people who are crying to be vaccinated just to continue those activities. GOVERNMENT should be working with these industries on the VAX ROLLOUT. TURN SUPER SPREADERS INTO SUPER VAXERS.
