Rocking The Daisies, one of South Africa’s most popular music festivals, has announced the postponement of its fifteenth instalment to October 2021, due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Rocking the Daisies was scheduled to celebrate its fifteenth anniversary by hosting the festival between Johannesburg and Cape Town for the first time in its history. However, following the global uncertainty due to COVID-19, the festival organisers have decided to move it to October 2021.
In a statement on Tuesday, 19 May 2020, the Rocking the Daisies Festival assured ticket holders that their tickets would be valid for next year’s event, should they decide to hold on to them. Moreover, they have assured those who were looking forward to seeing the international acts, Stormzy and Ari Lennox, that the two artists have confirmed availability for the new date. The statement concluded by informing ticket holders that they are also at liberty to return their tickets for a refund, stating that a ten percent refund fee would apply.
