SABC 1 has called upon aspiring photographers to submit their images for the Made In My Image initiative, giving viewers a chance to gain national recognition on the channel.

SABC 1 took to Instagram on Tuesday, 12 January 2021, to call upon aspiring social photographers and viewers to participate in the Made In My Image initiative. Aspiring photographers are requested to submit their best images, for a chance to be featured on the channel in the advertisement segments. This will allow them and their work to be recognised by viewers across Africa.

According to the post, the SABC aims to provide the opportunity for aspiring social photographers and ordinary viewers to share their exciting images with South Africa. The voiceover stated, “We’re calling on all our creative viewers to send in their artistic and most loved pictures for our on-air imagery… Go out, be creative, snap away and join us to be part of this marvellous movement. The biggest channel in Southern Africa awaits you.”

Viewers are requested to submit high-resolution images shot in landscape, and all participants need to be between the ages of 18 and 60.
