SABC 1’s One Day Leader resumes production

Published on

SABC 1 has announced that its reality competition show, One Day Leader, will be resuming production after the break imposed by the nationwide lockdown.

SABC 1 took to Twitter on Tuesday, 29 June 2020, to share a preview of the upcoming episodes of One Day Leader. Production on the show was indefinitely paused in March 2020, as the lockdown restrictions prohibited the collective from gathering to complete challenges and debates.

The production had stopped at the top six mark, leaving the finalists eager to continue on their journey to be crowned the winner. The remaining contestants are Belle Marx-Miller, Vusi Gumbi, Zanele Madlazi, Lindokuhle Mabaso, Zizipo Mtyobile and Thobani Madikizela.

The channel has yet to reveal the resumption date, however, according to viewer speculation, it should occur at the beginning of July 2020. One Day Leader is a competition show which showcases the leadership skills of individuals between the ages of 18 and 25. The contestants tackle issues faced by South Africans regarding economics, politics and society at large.
