SABC 2 announces schedule change to accommodate children’s content

Published on

SABC 2 has announced a change to its schedule, in order to make room for more children’s content, with Morning Live set to be an hour shorter going forward.

SABC 2 shared a post on Wednesday, 5 August 2020, announcing the introduction of more children’s content, at a time more suitable for younger viewers. As of Monday, 10 August 2020, the weekday news show, Morning Live, will be broadcast from 06:00 until 08:00, as opposed to the usual 06:00 until 09:00 slot. This means that the children’s content will be aired from an earlier time, providing educational entertainment at a more appropriate time for kids.

SABC 2 has attempted to provide more content for children during the nationwide lockdown, offering them a platform to learn from home. The channel has also offered a variety of televised classes for learners, in collaboration with SABC Education.
