The SABC has announced that its new current affairs show, Service Delivery Gauge, is set to extend to a talk show titled The Daily Service Delivery Gauge Show.
The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) took to Twitter on Sunday, 3 October 2021, to announce the extension of its newly launched show, Service Delivery Gauge. The original format of the current affairs show is hosted by respected broadcaster and SABC News anchor, Sakina Kamwendo. The show’s premise is to investigate whether the current government has met its own service delivery promises to various communities in the country.
Initially, it launched on Sunday, 19 September 2021, and was set to be a weekly episode until the upcoming local elections. However, with the new announcement, Service Delivery Gauge is set to extend into weekdays as The Daily Service Delivery Gauge Show. Moreover, the extension is also set to have new hosts. SABC News broadcasters, Mxolisi Masango and Chriselda Lewis, have been confirmed as the additional hosts. The show is set to premiere on Monday, 4 October 2021, on SABC 1 at 16:30.
