Sbahle Mpisane warns of fake Twitter account operating under her name

Sbahle Mpisane took to Instagram to alert her followers of a fake Twitter account, clarifying that she does not have one as her previous account was hacked.

On Sunday, 14 July 2019, South African fitness influencer, Sbahle Mpisane, shared a post on her Instagram page to let followers and fans know that she does not have a Twitter account. Sbahle shared a picture on Instagram of a black background written in white capital letters, explaining that she does not have a Twitter account. Further details of why it is that her profile is currently inactive on Twitter were explained in the caption of the post.

According to Sbahle, her previous Twitter account was hacked as explained in the caption of the post. Sbahle further expressed that earlier in the year there had been a new account created under her name on Twitter, however, the account was not managed by her. Any comments and posts that were from the account were not by her, she explained further.

Referring to earlier time in the year wherein her account was hacked, Sbahle posted on her Instagram that there had been an individual who hacked both her Instagram and Twitter accounts. The said stalker/hacker had been sending her and her family threats on her personal number. In the earlier post, Sbahle explained how she had to deal with the trauma of her near-fatal car accident and how, due to recovery, she could not afford the setback brought about by whoever had hacked her accounts and was threatening her. From the caption, Sbahle mentioned she had not been on Twitter since regaining consciousness following her car accident in 2018. “I have NO new Twitter account”, she wrote in the post.

Some of Sbahle’s followers commented with messages of comfort and empathized with her having to deal with someone pretending to be her on Twitter.
