Season 16 of Grey’s Anatomy to premiere this September

The new season of the American medical-drama series, Grey’s Anatomy, will premiere on Thursday, 26 September 2019, and will showcase the aftermath of Dr Andrew Deluca’s arrest.

Season 16 of one of the longest running medical drama series, Grey’s Anatomy, will kick off with Andrew protecting Meredith by getting himself arrested, instead of her.

Season 15 left audiences at the edge of their seats as authorities invaded Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

Claims of fraudulent activity regarding Meredith surfaced, in which the doctor claimed that a patient was her daughter, as a means of paying for her treatment.

In an attempt to cover up for his girlfriend, Andrew took full blame for the crime and claimed that Meredith had no knowledge of what was going on.

The trailer for the upcoming season sees Andrew being put in jail as Meredith begs him to allow her to come clean with the truth.

The preview also sees Teddy and Owen rejoice after the birth of their child, leaving Amelia feeling upset.

Jo will finally reveal to Alex what transpired when she visited her biological mother, leaving him feeling helpless for not knowing what was going on.

Grey’s Anatomy is a medical drama series which follows the journey of a group of doctors from their days as surgical interns, up until present, where they are world-renowned surgeons.

The series spotlight Dr Meredith Grey, who comes from a lineage of doctors whom she tries to emulate as she progresses in her career.

Grey’s Anatomy will premiere on Thursday, 26 September 2019 for USA audiences, with the South African premiere yet to be announced.
