Selena Gomez confirms upcoming album

Pop singer-songwriter Selena Gomez took to social media on Tuesday, 12 March 2019, to talk about her highly anticipated album, expected later this year.

Gomez spoke candidly to her fans via Instagram live, where she shared her fears and expectations of her upcoming album. The video marked the only confirmation of the long-awaited album, which caused fans to share their excitement in the comment section of the live video.

The singer was recorded saying, “I’m just nervous about it, honestly…Because I feel like the next few choices that I’m going to make are very crucial. So I’m trying to be really, really diligent and just patient with everything…the album is coming very soon.”

The live video followed the hype of the music video premiere for her collaboration with Benny Blanco, J Balvin and Tainy for I Can’t Get Enough.

According to Elle Magazine, Gomez describes the album as very honest but playful and will also feature numerous collaborations. She went on to say that creatively, her new project is heading in a really great direction. She also revealed that her favourite song off the album is a titled Rare, however, the singer has not shared any clips of the sound as yet.

The album will serve as the singer’s second studio album since her debut album Revival which was released in 2015. No further details have been released about the upcoming project, including the release date, track list or featured artists.
