Sha Sha’s Woza music video encourages living in the moment

Published on

Sha Sha has released the music video for her new single, Woza, which was co-directed by the acclaimed Nate Thomas and Nigel Stockl.

Sha Sha, on Friday, 4 December 2020, made available her first independent single, Woza, which is not part of her critically acclaimed debut EP, Blossom. The single was released with accompanying visuals on the same day.

In a statement issued on the day of release, Sha Sha stated, “This song is December, it is for December, inspired by December! After the year we have had, I just want everyone to let their hair down and enjoy themselves.”

The Nate Thomas and Nigel Stockl-co-directed music video explores different settings, as it takes viewers from a place of solitude to the heart of amapaino music, before ultimately leading viewers to the dance floor. The first half of the music video portrays Sha Sha as strong and regal alongside her all-female dancers. The second half of the music video functions to remind viewers of the power of amapiano in the dance space, with Sha Sha being positioned at the centre of the festivities.
