Sheldon Tatchell’s Legends Barbershop announces competition for matric students

Popular grooming franchise, Legends Barbershop, has announced a competition for young men, just in time for matric dance season.

In a post shared by the brand’s official social media pages on Sunday, 15 September 2019, the franchise invited its customers to share their thoughts on why they deserve to be given the opportunity to be groomed by Legends Barbershop for their matric dance. The promotional post stated, “Five lucky kids will win an opportunity to get a legendary haircut on the exclusive mobile bus for their matric dance. Best comments below win.” The post also included a visual of the mobile bus, which sees a black Mercedes sprinter with the company’s logo displayed on the side.

The exclusive mobile bus has been used at a number of events around South Africa, most recently at the 2019 Vodacom Durban July. It has also travelled throughout Botswana and Swaziland, offering its services to a number of new clientele. The bus includes professional barbers who are able to provide haircuts using all equipment found in any of their branches.

Legends Barbershop was launched in 2011 and has expanded throughout South Africa in the following years. Rapper, Riky Rick, has ownership of the Waterfall Corner branch and is an avid promoter of the franchise. The franchise currently boasts 12 branches, which are based in 18 2nd Florida, The Fields, 198 Florida Road, Newtown, Sun City, 012, Maponya Mall, 297 Long Street, Randburg Square, Waterfall Corner, Bedworth Central and most recently, Menlyn Park Shopping Centre.
