Shimza has rehashed the matter of his work ethic being called into question, claiming that he works hard to achieve the kind of success he has so far.
Shimza took to Twitter on Thursday, 3 June 2021, to tweet about the hard work he has put into achieving the kind of success he has so far in his career. The producer-DJ-turned-all-round businessman currently has four successful businesses, including his production company, Shimuzic; his restaurant, The Hang Awt and its car wash; his investments in property; and his recently announced trucking business.
However, Shimza seems to still be bothered by the fact that his efforts were called into question when some social media users attempted to discredit his work. The supposed social media smear campaign was led by controversial music executive, Nhlamulo “Nota” Baloyi. Nota reduced Shimza to a victim of cradle-snatching by the Spokesperson to the Presidency, Athi Gabela.
Nota claimed that Shimza’s business ventures are only successful because of him allegedly being politically affiliated with high profile politicians, such as Julius Malema. Moreover, his suspected relationship with Gabela is supposedly the reason for him being contracted by the Department of Tourism in April 2021, where he hosted the final activation ahead of the Tourism Budget Vote Speech.
