Sho Madjozi and Moonchild Sanelly are set to headline the Zakifo Music Festival, taking place on Saturday, 25 May 2019, alongside two other female headlining acts.
South African Xitsonga rap sensation Sho Madjozi reminded her Durban fans that the Zakifo Music Festival, for which she is one of four female headlining acts, is the opportune moment for them to see her performing live. On Tuesday, 21 May 2019, she shared a video of herself dancing to her song, Idhom. She captioned the post with a reminder of her upcoming performance at the two-day music festival starting on Saturday, 25 May 2019 and ending on Sunday, 26 May 2019 at The Werehouse, Durban.
The Limpopo Champions League hit maker is one of three South African performers who will represent the country at the music festival. Moonchild Sanelly co-headlines with Nigerian female artist, Eme. The two artists currently have a joint single out called Yakmma, which was released on Friday, 10 May 2019. Together, the artists will take the stage to perform their individual songs and their joint single.
Moonchild Sanelly has currently been touring the world and this will mark her first performance back in South Africa since performing at the prestigious Mozambican Azgo music festival.
The last headlining act for the music festival is Cape Town based hip-hop and R&B artist Dope Saint Jude. She has also been touring in Europe, and her performance at the Zakifo Music Festival marks her return to South Africa.
