Sho Madjozi is continuing to branch out continentally, as she is one of the featured artists on the newly released EP by Nigerian producer, KDDO, titled Too Late Too Lit.
Sho Madjozi took to Instagram on Friday, 14 May 2021, to share an image of her and Nigerian producer, KDDO. In the caption of the post, Madjozi revealed that she is featured on his newly released EP, Too Late Too Lit, which was made available across all major digital music platforms on the day.
According to a statement issued on Friday, “Too Late Too Lit is an eight-track project that spotlights Africa’s basking sound templates with features from the finest acts inside-out. The road to the EP began with the premiere of eWallet (featuring Cassper Nyovest).” The statement added, “Amidst the impressive reception, KDDO moves to unveil the full-length statement to Africa project which is a culmination of afrobeats, amapiano, pop, R&B and contemporary high life genres ingeniously curated into his vision of spreading happiness through songs.”
Madjozi is featured on track five on the EP, 20-something. The single hears KDDO blending afrobeats with Madjozi’s signature gqom sound. The instrumentation also has string elements, which are reminiscent of the amapiano genre. Lyrically, the single suggests that age is nothing but a number in relationships.
The EP is available to purchase on Apple Music.
