South African musician, Sho Madjozi, made a surprise announcement, revealing that she is the featured vocalist on pH Raw X’s new single, Ibeballinho, set for release on Friday.
Musician, pH Raw X, has been teasing the release of his new single for the past two weeks. The musician first shared his single’s cover art, which featured only him, and revealed that the single would be released on Friday, 19 July 2019. In the days leading up to the release of Ibeballinho, he kept the identity of his featured artist and the name of the song a secret.
However, on Wednesday, 17 July 2019, the artist took to his social media pages to share both the identity of the featured artist and the name of the single through a ten-second-long video. In the single’s promotional video, the name of the single and the featured artist fade into the open spaces that were previously just clouds. Sho Madjozi’s image slowly fades into the frame on the right side of pH Raw X’s image, and the title of the song fades into the frame across his chest.
The release of the single will mark the first release from pH Raw X in 2019. Similar to Sho Madjozi, pH Raw X is proud of his Limpopo roots, specifically his roots stemming from Giyani and his last release having paid homage to his hometown. His last single, Kilimanjaro, which he released in 2018, was under the slogan, “The Giyani Love With,” and featured a host of South African celebrated artists like Thandiswa Mazwai, the late HHP, Khuli Chana, Yanga Chief, Nasty C and Kwesta.
Although pH Raw X has yet to share an audio sample for the upcoming single, the news of the upcoming single has been shared by other media personalities like Sho Madjozi, Moozlie, Ms Cosmo and DJ Dimplez.
