Showmax avails documentary, Doin’ My Drugs

Showmax has debuted a new documentary, Doin’ My Drug, which follows Thomas Buttenschøn tracing back his Zambian roots.

Showmax took to Twitter on Thursday, 2 September 2021, to share all the new content that viewers can expect during the month of September 2021. Included as part of the shows set to debut this month is the documentary which follows Denmark’s singer and songwriter, Thomas Buttenschøn titled Doin’ My Drugs. The documentary is Buttenschøn’s heritage story as he goes back to the country where his mother is from, in order to find out about his heritage. According to the premise of the documentary:

“Shot over two-and-a-half years, the documentary follows Thomas as he returns to Zambia as living proof that HIV/Aids is not a death sentence. ‘I have two healthy children. I am healthy. I have a healthy wife. I cannot infect them because I am properly medicated,’ says Thomas. ‘It is obvious to everyone that if all the infected were well medicated, like me, we would be able to eradicate HIV. Full stop.’”

The documentary is currently available to view on Showmax.
