Showmax has announced that it has licensed its first international reality TV series format, Temptation Island, which will be adapted to a South African version.
Showmax will be producing the first-ever South African version of Temptation Island, which marks its first international reality TV series format recently. In a statement on Wednesday, 17 February 2021, the African streaming platform shared the news, which appeals to the many reality show lovers in South Africa.
Temptation Island South Africa will follow the original format, which sees four couples at a pivotal time in their relationship. The couples have to mutually decide if they are ready to commit to one another for the rest of their lives or would rather go their separate ways.
The couples will then go on a luxurious holiday in paradise, where single men and women will join in pursuit of love. Once they meet their new housemates, they will evaluate whether they should continue with their relationships or see if there are better options out there.
