Sizwe Dhlomo was evidently affronted by Twitter users that suggested that he takes narcotics, following his birthday message directed at Bonang Matheba.
Sizwe Dhlomo took to Twitter on Friday, 25 June 2021, to wish friend and former Live co-host, Bonang Matheba a happy thirty-fourth birthday. In his message, Dhlomo lamented Matheba’s decision to relocate to New York, by suggesting they would have celebrated and had fun if she were still in South Africa. While his intentions were pure, Twitter users subverted the post by suggesting that Dhlomo was indicating that the two would have been using narcotics recreationally.
The reference stems from the recently rehashed allegations of Matheba supposedly abusing narcotics. The resurgence of the allegations was due to the tragic and untimely passing of Anele Tembe, Kiernan “AKA” Forbes’ fiancée.
Due to the tumultuous relationship between Tembe and Forbes, amongst other things, it has been speculated that the two were substance abusers, in the form of drugs. Moreover, it was later alleged that Matheba introduced Forbes to the habit, which later impacted his relationship with Tembe. Hence, Twitter users attempted to lambaste Dhlomo on a similar tangent. However, the outspoken media personality made it clear that he would not entertain such allegations and references.
