Sjava to perform at ‘Love Potion’ Valentine’s Day event

The BET award-winning artist will be performing alongside other musicians who will serenade their fans with love songs.

Afro-pop musician, Sjava, took to social media on Thursday, 17 January 2019, to ask fans to join him for a live performance on Valentine’s Day.

The singer will be performing at the Carnival City Big Top Arena in Gauteng on Thursday, 14 February 2019. The BET award-winning artist will be joined by Amanda Black, Mlindo the Vocalist and Idols 2018 contestant, Thando Mngomezulu. The event will be hosted by Linda Lindani.

The musician has had an exciting career winning a SAMA and a Metro FM award for his debut album ‘Isina Muva’ released in 2016. He also won the awards for ‘Rising Star’ at the DSTV Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards in 2017 and ‘Viewers’ Choice Best International Act’ at the 2018 BET Awards.

Sjava has also had his hand in a Grammy-nominated project. He performed the song ‘Seasons’ alongside Mozzy and American rapper, Reason, which appeared on ‘Black Panther: The Album,’ the official soundtrack for the Oscar-nominated motion picture. The soundtrack has been nominated for a 2019 Grammy in the category of ‘Album of The Year’. Other South African musicians Yugen Blakrok, Babes Wodumo and Saudi were also featured on the album.

Tickets to the ‘Love Potion’ event are available for purchase at Computicket  and prices start at R200. Doors open at 6pm.
