Skeem Saam: Mapitsi feels increasingly uncomfortable in her own home

Tuesday night’s episode of South African soapie, Skeem Saam, saw Rachel continue to discretely look for a weapon by arranging a meeting with a seller at Capsy’s.

The latest episode of SABC 1’s Skeem Saam, which aired on Tuesday, 20 August 2019, saw Rachel dismissing plans with her husband, so she could stay home to continue her search for a weapon. After calling many potential sellers, she managed to arrange a meeting with one who asked her to meet him in a public setting to prove that she is not a police officer. After a long wait, Rachel reached out to the seller once more, whose phone had been switched off. Whilst waiting, she was caught by her husband, Marothi, who was confused by her being at Capsy’s by herself.

Viewers shared their concerns for Rachel on social media, with many stating that she would soon be caught for her criminal behaviour. Thando Mathebula shared a comment stating, “She’s leaving voicemails on everyone’s phone asking for a weapon. In the wrong hands, that is proper evidence. She is so reckless.” Nosi Togu shared those sentiments with, “Rachel is brave. She doesn’t care about anything else. She just wants her weapon.”

The upcoming episode of Skeem Saam sees Botshelo and Mapitsi’s fight reach breaking point. Lehasa is enraged upon finding out that Lelo hasn’t been forthright about the Norwood supermarket break-in and Rachel feels powerful after getting ahold of a weapon.

Skeem Saam airs weekdays at 18:30 on SABC 1.
