Snotkop headlines Cape Town edition of Krone 6 concert

Snotkop and Ricus Nel to perform at the 2019 Royal Afrikaanse Musiek Konsert

Popular Afrikaans musician, Snotkop, has revealed that he is one the headliners that will be performing at the Cape Town leg of the travelling Afrikaans music tour, Krone 6.

On Sunday, 21 July 2019, popular Afrikaans musician, Snotkop, went onto his social media pages to share that one of the Cape Town tour dates for the upcoming Krone 6 promotional tour is sold out. The artist is one of the 14 headlining musical acts that will take the stage during the two-day tour stop on Saturday, 3 August 2019 and Sunday, 4 August 2019, at the Grand West Arena.

Krone 6 is the latest Krone compilation featuring some of the biggest names in Afrikaans music, working together on various songs and covers that are found on the 17-track double disc album. Krone 6 was released on Friday, 28 June 2019, and features celebrated and notabel Afrikaans  artists like Elandré, Kurt Darren, Juanita du Plessis, Elizma Theron, Brendan Peyper, Liezel Pieters and Refentse.

Snotkop is featured on over six of the tracks on the compilation, including songs like Krone 6 Opening Medley, Punch Medley, Diere Medley, Rugby Wêreldbeker Medley and the Reggae Medley.  However, the compilation was promoted through popular singles like The Shallow Medley, featuring Elandré, Juanita du Plessis, Kurt Darren, Theuns Jordaan, Liezel and Nicholis, and the Because It’s Love Medley, featuring Juanita du Plessis, Kurt Darren, Manie Jackson, Lianie May and Liezel Pieters.

Although tickets for the Saturday performance are sold out, tickets for the Sunday edition of the tour are still available for purchase. Tickets retail at R195 for general standing admission and R470 for the lower level seating tickets. Doors to the event will open at 13:00, with the concert set to start at 16:00.
