Soweto Massive to close off the year at Icon Soweto, with performances by Sho Madjozi and Lady Zamar

The popular music festival, Soweto Massive, will close off the year at Icon Soweto, with a line-up that includes the likes of Sho Madjozi, Lady Zamar and Moonchild Sanelly.

Popular South African nightclub, Icon Soweto, will play host to the 2018 Soweto Massive event, taking place on Sunday, 23 December 2018. The nightclub is owned by popular DJ duo, DJ Naves and Sphectacula, who are also co-hosts of the Gagasi FM drive-time show, The King’s Drive.

The music event has become one of the most anticipated year-end parties on the South African festive calendar. This year’s event will see the likes of Sho Madjozi, Lady Zamar and Moonchild Sanelly, amongst others, take to the stage.

All three ladies have had a phenomenal 2018, with Sho Madjozi releasing her debut album, ‘Limpopo Champions League,’ and even getting a nod from hit American producer, Ava Duvernay, for her Global Citizens Festival performance.

Lady Zamar is also celebrating the success of her hit single, ‘Collide,’ which, according to Radio Monitor, is the most played song on South African radio for the period between Monday, 1 January 2018 and Saturday, 8 December 2018. The song is reported to have been played 9 806 times during that particular period.

Moonchild Sanelly also graced the Global Citizens Festival stage alongside DJ Maphorisa for the ‘iWalk Ye Phara’ performance.
