SPHEctacula and DJ Naves have released the Bonke music video, featuring Nokwazi Dlamini and JoeJo, which aims to capture the last days of summer.
Universal Music Group South Africa issued a statement on Thursday, 17 June 2021, confirming the release of SPHEctacula and DJ Naves’ Bonke music video, featuring Nokwazi Dlamini and JoeJo. The music video by the duo, collectively known as Kings of the Weekend, was released on Wednesday, 16 June 2021. Although the music video does not commemorate Youth Day, it aims to showcase the youth having fun as they celebrate the last days of summer.
According to the statement, “Bonke showcases how friends meet to celebrate one another and affirm each other’s victories of having made it in the world.” Adding, “SPHEctacula and DJ Naves release the Bonke visuals as the two prepare for their next adventure. The Kings of the Weekend are set to release their debut podcast Kings’ Podcast, which is set to launch this Friday [18 June 2021].”
The single is taken from their current album, 10 Years and Counting, which was released in April 2021.
