Stogie T calls Nota a “clout-chasing clown” in public statement

Published on

Stogie T has released his own statement in light of his altercation with Nota being publicised, labelling Nota a clout-chasing clown.

Tumi “Stogie T” Molekane took to Instagram on Monday, 4 October 2021, to release a statement in light of the news of his physical altercation with Nhlamulo “Nota” Baloyi. Earlier that day, Nota made it public that he and Stogie T were involved in a brawl, in which he allegedly came out victorious. He alleged that he pinned the respected rapper down and denied allegations that Stogie T managed to slap him. Nota was braggadocious with his series of posts about the fight.

On the other hand, Stogie T opted for a more diplomatic response with his official statement on the matter. Though he did not provide details of what happened during the altercation, he did touch on the root of his disgruntlement with Nota.

He stated, “He has lied about encounters, charged me with destroying culture, one time suggesting that my mother is a corrupt public servant who cheated the state to prop up my European Tour with Tumi and The Volume and most recently suggesting that I am a woman beater.” The rest of the statement confirmed that their fight did get physical, and that he took the opportunity to apologise to his loved ones and fans by adding, “I reserve the right to defend myself from clout chasing clowns trying to violate me or my name.”
