Thursday night’s episode of Survivor SA saw Jacques being cut off from the rest of the tribe for his profanity, which he claimed was said unintentional and in the heat of the moment.
The latest episode of M-Net’s Survivor SA, which aired on Thursday, 15 August 2019, saw Jacques ousted by the rest of the tribe members, causing him to feel as though he had lost his place in the game. Frontrunner, Rob, and his sidekick, Steffi, were outraged by the remarks made by Jacques, which led them to order the rest of the tribe to cut ties with him.
In last night’s tribal council, in an attempt to save himself, Jacques played his immunity idol, leaving one of the other contestants unaware that they were next on the chopping block. Mmba was devastated to learn that her alliance members betrayed her trust, which saw her as the latest castaway, with an immunity idol still in her pocket.
Viewers offered their sympathy to Jacques, with many blaming his treatment on Rob’s influence as the leader. Eve JS stated, “Nicole, Steffi and Rob are such cruel bullies. They are the kind of bullies that make people stop wanting to live. The way they justified themselves was disgusting.” James also commented with, “I love that at Tribal Council, Rob just threatened everyone in the bottom that if they made a move, they’d be targeted next in the same episode where Jacques was blacklisted and ostracised for making a threat in the heat of the game. Double standards all over!”.
Survivor SA airs on Thursdays at 19:00 on M-Net, DStv channel 101.
