Survivor SA has released a teaser of the upcoming episode, suggesting that there might be an immunity idol located at tribal council.
M-Net’s Survivor South Africa (SA) released a statement on Wednesday, 9 June 2021, teasing what fans can expect from the second season of the popular outdoor reality show. The first episode showcased the Zamba tribe as the leading tribe, while Vuna was faced with multiple struggles, both at challenges and discord within the camp.
Jason Brookstein was the first castaway to be voted off the island. Brookstein’s exit was explosive as it marked the first blindside of the season and set the tone for the rest of the season. With the second episode, it seems that there might be a change in power dynamics between the two tribes.
According to a statement released by Survivor SA, “The Castaways gain an intimate understanding of why their new home is called the ‘Wild Coast’, as they’re buffeted with icy winds and torrential rain, seeing one tribe abandon their shelter, for a cave.”
The statement also suggested the presence of an immunity idol located at tribal council, adding, “At Tribal Council, Nico wants to know who the losing tribe’s ‘black sheep’ is, as one Castaway subtly scans the scenery for a hidden advantage.”
The suggestion is surprising, considering that a castaway can only retrieve the immunity idol during a tribal council. Therefore, they would need to be certain of its location or risk by revealing that they are searching for the idol, and risk elimination at tribal council should they not find the article.
The episode is set to air on Thursday, 10 June 2021, on M-Net, DStv channel 101.
