Popular Sandton nightclub Taboo has announced that it will be hosting the official DSTV Delicious International Food & Music Festival after-party on Sunday, 23 September 2018. The event will be in association with Johnnie Walker and will feature a star-studded line-up with industry veterans such as Louie Vega, DJ Fresh, Oskido, Vinny Da Vinci, DJ Ganyani, Greg ‘The Maestro’ and DJ Christos.
The food and music festival will take place at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Midrand from Saturday, 22 September 2018 until Sunday, 23 September 2018. Now in its sixth year, the festival will host top celebrity chefs and performing artists and will also feature international award-winning musician Erykah Badu.
Over the years, the festival has hosted other international industry greats such as Common, Chaka Khan, Jamiroquai and Macy Gray.
In an official statement published by the organisers on Wednesday, 27 June 2018, festival director Lloyd Cornwall commented:
“The event is also special because we’re committed to keeping it local. The tens of thousands of visitors to the festival spend their money on the hundreds of local food and drink outlets, which keeps the revenue generated by the local economy. We’re extremely proud that more than 80% of our supply chain is local.”
The festival after-party has been titled Classic Nite: “Ezama Grootman” and doors open at 22:00. People under the age of 18 will not be permitted into the club.
