The RnB Soul musician will be releasing his second studio album on Friday, 1 February 2019, but will allow fans to pre-order the music in a package that comes with the single ‘Hit Me Up’.
Tellaman’s record label announced on Tuesday, 15 January 2019, that the star’s sophomore album is now available for pre-order on iTunes.
“The pre-order comes with a song titled ‘Hit Me Up’ and is available on all digital platforms,” Universal Music Africa said in a statement. The songs ‘No Sharing (The Distance)’ and ‘Crew Lit’ are also available for purchase. The musician’s work blurs the boundaries of genre “combining the normal lines one would expect from a rapper with melodies from an RnB singer.”
The twenty-track album features Shekhinah and Nasty C on ‘Whipped’, Rowlene on ‘Note To Self (UDI)’ and crownedYung on ‘Calm Down’. The musician said his latest offering was more unique than his previous work. “My new material is different from my previous mixtapes and EP; lyrically and musically it shows more growth,” the singer said.
Everything, including the music production process, was different. “For this project I have gone the extra mile in terms of the quality of the sound; the way I programmed, wrote, recorded, mixed and mastered is completely different,” he added.
“I have grown as a musician and a human being. I have learnt from my previous mistakes and I am confident that my fans will hear that in my music.” The album is due to be released on Friday, 1 February 2019.
