Showmax has made the debut episode of Temptation Island SA available for viewing, following a month-long promotional campaign.
Showmax took to Twitter on Wednesday, 25 August 2021, to mark the one-day countdown to the release of the first episode of Temptation Island South Africa (SA). The post comes after a month-long promotional campaign by the platform, towards the release of the first season of the local spinoff of the Banijay-owned hit reality show.
The first episode of the show introduces viewers to the four couples that have taken up the challenge of putting their relationship to the test by going on dates with the 10 Temptation men and women. By the end of the season, the couples should know if they belong together or not. Confirmed as the four couples of this season are Precious Khumalo and Grant Manuel, Estelle Langa and Justin Fritz, Nthabiseng Maphago and MJ Maphonya, and Musa Qubinkomo and Sifiso Ndlazi.
According to Showmax, “For the women, this includes stand-up comedian Tats Nkonzo, former host of Uyang’thanda Na?; sculpted Durban firefighter, entertainer and dancer Calim ‘Muggz’ Mgagula; Pietermaritzburg celebrity coach, business owner and choreographer Kwanele ‘Finch’ Thusi, who’s also in The Art of Survival on Showmax; and Vaal sound engineer Jerry Sereme, who DJs as J-Moscow.”
The statement added, “For the men, this includes Johannesburg actress Eve Rasimeni (Tydelike Terminaal and Hhayi Bo Mnakwethu); The Longest Date’s Angelique Samuels, a group exercise trainer and model; Zinhle Nkosi, an NGO founder; co-business owner, model and interior designer Nicole ‘Coco’ Kaas; and entrepreneur Bontle More, who lives between Johannesburg and Cape Town.”
Temptation Island SA’s first episode is now available for viewing on Showmax, with subsequent episodes set to be made available every Thursday.
