The 10th annual Mpumalanga Comes Alive Festival is happening this weekend

The popular lifestyle festival will be returning to the Mbombela Stadium this weekend, with performances by industry heavyweights such as Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C and D’Banj.

The tenth annual Mpumalanga Comes Alive food and music festival is taking place at the Mbombela Stadium tomorrow, 29 September 2018. The event will see the likes of D’Banj, Cassper Nyovest, L’Vovo, Nasty C, Riky Rick and Zakwe take to the stage. Khanyi Mbau has been revealed as the event’s MC.

Mbau was recently announced as one of the local personalities that will be taking part in the new celebrity quiz show called Tropika Smooth Fan. The show will uncover some fun facts about some of our favourite local personalities, and will also give viewers a glimpse of how the selected personalities are in their everyday life.

Other personalities that will be joining Mbau on the show include Letoya Makhene, Babes Wodumo, Clement Maosa, Jeannie D, Khaya Dladla, Somizi and Bonang Matheba.

Although Mbau’s claim to fame was her role in the popular local soapie Muvhango in 2004, she has since diversified and proved that she is a jack-of-all trades as a dancer, musician, radio and television host, as well as event MC.

The festival celebrates creative expression and seeks to promote social responsibility, stimulate the economy and draw talent and tourists from across Southern Africa to create an unforgettable lifestyle and music experience.

Early bird tickets can be purchased from Computicket at a cost of R100, tickets will also be available at the door at a cost of R180, and VIP tickets are selling at R1000. Gates open at 10:00 and the festival will run from 12:00 to 18:00 with no interval.
