The Bachelor SA’s season one lead, Lee Thompson, will be releasing his book, The Truth Behind The Rose, which will discuss his time on the M-Net show and the drama that ensued.
The Bachelor SA’s Lee Thompson, who appeared on season one of the hit M-Net reality show in 2019, will be detailing his journey on the show in a tell-all book, The Truth Behind The Rose, which is expected to be released in 2021. Lee’s season of The Bachelor SA ended with him choosing Gina Myers as the woman he wanted to continue a relationship with outside of the show. However, their relationship ended shortly thereafter, as announced on the Women Tell-All episode at the end of the season.
In a statement to JustNje today, 12 October 2020, Lee stated, “The book will also focus a lot on the show – the good times as well as the deception, manipulation and lies that went on. It will also reveal the mental health issues it caused me, and how I’ve overcome them. I want this book to help and inspire people. I’ll be speaking about some of the women in the book as well.”
Lee also explained that he will be providing clarity on rumours that have been circulated on social media since his time on The Bachelor SA, and will be making mention of some of the women that appeared on the show. In particular, he will be talking about his final two, Gina Myers and Jozaan Digue, who he is not currently on good terms with.
He concluded, “My book will take this huge weight off my shoulders, which I’ve been carrying around for some time now. I’ll also be sharing things that I did after the show and what happened between us. As well as the ‘games’ the final two played against me after the show.”
