The Kennel, Christyle Numen and Lady Zamar release new single, I Do

The Kennel teamed up with Christyle Numen and Lady Zamar on a new single, I Do, which is the lead single from Sliqe’s record label, Kennel Music’s upcoming EP.

Sliqe took to Instagram on Friday, 21 May 2021, to confirm the availability of I Do, featuring Lady Zamar and Christyle Numen, which is the first single from The Kennel’s upcoming EP, Kennel Room 2. The single has received favorable reviews on social media since its release, with Lady Zamar also being praised for her vocals.

However, the significance of the track is that it marks the first release from Sliqe’s record label, Kennel Music’s partnership with Sony Music South Africa (SA). In light of the first release under the newly formed partnership, Sony Music SA issued a statement on the day of the single’s release, writing, ”DJ Sliqe’s label, Kennel Music joins the Sony Music family and launches pre-order of the label’s EP, Kennel Room 2, with the new single, I Do.”

Sliqe was also quoted as saying, “I’ve been speaking about doing great things for Kennel Music. I thought it’s time to start doing something with all this experience I gained. Kennel is an incubator for musos (musical instrument players, writers, producers) where creativity resides in historical shapes.” Kennel Room 2 is set for release on Friday, 4 June 2021.

The single is available for purchase on Apple Music.
