The Queen has shared a behind-the-scenes video of the dramatic explosion which killed Harriet’s daughter, Kea, proving that the bomb was real.
The Queen and its production company, Ferguson Films, shared a YouTube video on Thursday, 30 July 2020, which captured the dramatic explosion from the episode which aired on Monday, 3 August 2020. The clip showed the cameramen posted around the BMW which blew to pieces after a bomb went off. The cameramen were also startled by the loud noise and debris that resulted from the explosion.
The cast and crew explained how impressed they were by the theatrics, and detailed the precautions that were taken to ensure the safety of everyone on set. The clip aimed to show viewers that the explosion was not staged, despite the speculation. The explosion was used as a means to kill Kea, a role that was assumed by Dineo Langa.
